A Multiplexer is a filter unit that combines more than two bands to a common port. Zenlynx use traditional air cavity design, and when higher Q factor is needed for low insertion loss dielectric resonators are used. Zenlynx have multiplexers for indoor, outdoor and Filter Units for Radio Remote Heads.
All multiplexers are designed for low PIM, low insertion loss, low temperature shift and high power handling capability. To achieve low loss, some filters use dielectric resonators, typically for the TX path. With low loss on the TX path the output power from the PA can be reduced.
Typical applications for indoor multiplexer is test and verification, research and development, wireless communications and military applications. An indoor multiplexer can easily be designed to an outdoor multiplexer. Outdoor multiplexers are used for combining different bands to a common antenna.
